NASIC Member Awarded Bronze Star for Deployment

Master Sgt. Michael Bentley, National Air and Space Intelligence Center non-commissioned officer in charge of personnel security, received the Bronze Star Medal from Col. Mark Hess, NASIC vice-commander. Sergeant Bentley earned the decoration during a 365-day deployment to Iraq where he enabled nearly 2,000 combat patrols, maintained a fleet of more than 60 vehicles and led the acquisition of safety upgrades for vehicles patrolling the streets of Iraq. Sergeant Bentley also mentored and assisted in the development of more than 4,000 officers for Bagdad’s police force.
