NASIC honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with day-long vigil
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio –Senior Master Sgt. Stephanie Barre from the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, stands at parade rest guarding a the flame of candle lit for a vigil in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The ceremony took place Jan. 18, and featured opening remarks from NASIC vice commander Col. Timothy Traub, and songs from the NASIC choir. To honor Dr. King, a candle remained lit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To ensure the candle stayed lit, 14 volunteer Airmen took turns standing watch over the flame. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Staff Sgt.
