WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Two National Air and Space Intelligence Center Airmen earned top honors during the Department of War Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Enterprise awards ceremony held at the Pentagon, Sept. 3.
The recognition highlights the exceptional caliber of effort and dedication service members contribute to the defense intelligence mission across the DoW throughout the year.
NASIC won DoW-level recognition in two categories:
• Mission Support Individual Award
• HUMINT Collector (Overt) Individual Award
“The counterintelligence and human intelligence missions require precision, agility, and relentless commitment,” said Col. Tyson Wetzel, NASIC commander. “The recognition of members within our Center demonstrates the vital role NASIC plays in safeguarding our nation's defense enterprise. The annual competition was evaluated by members across the defense counterintelligence enterprise and the defense HUMIT enterprise focused on finding exemplary achievement.
